Rajput Farms' International Landscaping & Miyawaki Projects: How We Work Beyond India
Rajput Farms works mainly around Kanpur, Lucknow, Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, Noida and Agra, but harsh-condition landscaping and Miyawaki forest expertise has taken us to international turnkey projects in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Europe, Russia and South Africa. Here is our process, and what stays sourced and made in India.
Most of our work happens around Kanpur, Lucknow, Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, Noida and Agra - that is still where the majority of our projects are. But over the last few years, the same skill that lets us landscape and plant in difficult Indian conditions - poor soil, extreme heat, water-scarce sites - has taken us to international turnkey projects, including work in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, parts of Europe, Russia and South Africa.
Why Harsh-Condition Experience Travels Well
A lot of landscaping and Miyawaki forest knowledge is climate-specific - what works in a wet, temperate region does not automatically work in a hot, dry one, or a cold one. Having built gardens, Miyawaki forests and farmhouse landscapes in some of India's more demanding conditions, the underlying skill - reading soil, water availability and climate stress, then choosing and preparing accordingly - transfers to other harsh environments, whether that is desert heat in the Gulf or cold winters further north.
Our Process for Every Site, Wherever It Is
We follow the same four-step process regardless of location:
- Analyse the environment - climate, soil, water access and the surrounding landscape before anything is designed.
- Design and select species - choosing trees and plants suited to that specific site, not a generic plan reused everywhere.
- Treat the soil - preparing the ground so the chosen species actually survive and establish, which matters more in harsh conditions than in forgiving ones.
- Execute - planting, construction and installation, followed by the maintenance period needed for the site to establish.
Miyawaki Forests and Orchard Design, Adapted to Local Climate
For Miyawaki forest work outside India - including a climate like Russia's - the species list changes completely since native species are what make the Miyawaki method work. We research locally appropriate species and adapt the dense multi-layer planting pattern to that climate rather than exporting an Indian species list somewhere it will not survive. The same applies to fruit orchard design: an orchard in a harsh or unfamiliar climate needs its own species and soil plan, not a copy-paste of what works in Uttar Pradesh.
What Stays in India
To be clear about how this works: our plants and trees are sourced in India, and our precast RCC products are manufactured at our own facility in India. What travels internationally is design and execution expertise - our teams plan the project, specify what is needed, and manage execution on site. We are not claiming farms or factories abroad; the supply chain is Indian, the service is international.
Export: Plants, Produce and Medicinal Herb Extracts
Alongside project work, we also export agricultural produce, plants, trees and medicinal herb extracts. This runs as a separate line from our landscaping projects, built on the same farming and nursery base in Unnao and Kanpur that the rest of the business grew out of.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Rajput Farms only work in India?
No. Most projects are in and around Kanpur, Lucknow, Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, Noida and Agra, but we also take on international turnkey landscaping and Miyawaki projects, including work in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Europe, Russia and South Africa.
How do you choose plant species for a climate you have not worked in before?
We start by analysing that site's environment and climate, then research and select species suited to those specific conditions - we do not reuse an Indian species list in a different climate.
Are the plants and materials grown or made outside India?
No. Plants and trees are sourced in India and precast RCC products are manufactured at our facility in India. For international projects, what we provide is design and execution expertise, not an overseas supply chain.
Does Rajput Farms export products as well as do project work?
Yes, separately from our landscaping and construction projects, we export agricultural produce, plants, trees and medicinal herb extracts.
Can Rajput Farms design a Miyawaki forest or orchard for a cold climate like Russia's?
Yes - the design process adapts the species selection and planting approach to that climate rather than applying an Indian-climate plan somewhere it would not work.
