Farmhouse Boundary Wall: A Precast Planning Guide
Planning a farmhouse boundary wall? See how precast RCC walls, gates, drainage, fencing add-ons and green buffers fit together on farm plots in eastern UP.

A good farmhouse boundary wall starts with an accurate survey, then combines the right barrier for each edge: precast RCC panels where you need privacy and security, wire fencing on RCC poles for long field edges, and planned gates, drainage gaps and a planting strip. Decide these before ordering panels.
Why a farmhouse boundary needs its own plan
A city plot usually needs one straight wall along a known line. A farmhouse or farm plot is different. The boundary is often long and uneven, it may border fields, a village road and a drain on different sides, and the land inside will change over the years as lawns, orchards, a pond or staff quarters are added. Monsoon water, stray cattle and tractor access all have to be managed at the boundary.
That is why well-planned farmhouse boundaries are designed edge by edge rather than ordered as one long, uniform wall.
Precast wall, wire fencing or a mix?
Full precast RCC boundary wall
Precast RCC walls use factory-cast concrete panels that slot between posts on site. They give privacy, a clean finished look and a solid barrier. On the site-facing and road-facing sides of a farmhouse, where security and appearance matter most, a precast wall is usually the strongest choice. For a general comparison of precast and brick, read our guide on choosing the right precast boundary wall.
Wire fencing on RCC poles
For long rear or side edges that border open fields, chain link (jali) or barbed wire on RCC poles marks the boundary and deters animals at a lower cost per running length than a solid wall, and it keeps views open. Our farm fencing page covers the common options.
A hybrid boundary
Many farm owners combine the two: a precast wall along the entrance and road frontage, and fencing along the field sides. Fencing can also be added on top of or alongside a precast wall for extra security. A hybrid lets you put the budget where it shows and where the risk is highest.
Planning checklist before you order
- Survey and demarcation: get the plot measured and the corners marked before any posts go in. Settle disputed or unclear edges with neighbours first; moving a finished wall is expensive.
- Gates and vehicle access: mark the main gate, any service gate for tractors or delivery trucks, and pedestrian access. Leave enough width and turning space for the largest vehicle you expect.
- Drainage and low spots: walk the plot after heavy rain if you can. In the flat, alluvial land of eastern Uttar Pradesh, water can collect along boundaries during the monsoon. Plan weep gaps, culverts or a drain line where water naturally flows, so the wall doesn't act as a dam.
- Delivery access: precast panels are heavy and come by truck. Check that the approach road and the boundary line can be reached, especially on soft ground in the rainy season.
- Future layout: think about where the lawn, orchard, pond, parking and any structures will go. Your boundary should support that layout, not fight it.
- Height by edge: a higher solid section may be needed near the house or road, while a lower wall or fencing may be enough elsewhere.
How precast installation works
Rajput Farms' boundary wall installation service covers site measurement, post fixing, transport of precast panels to your site, panel installation between posts, and finishing and handover. The panels and posts are made by our precast division, Suraksha Construction, at the factory in Chahania, Chandauli in the Varanasi region.
Because the parts are cast off-site, there is no dependence on masons, curing time or a continuous water supply at the farm. That matters on remote plots where water and skilled labour are hard to arrange. Factory casting also keeps quality consistent along the full length of the boundary.
Soften the wall with planting
A bare wall around a green property can look harsh. A planting strip on the inside helps it blend in:
- Hedges or shrubs a short distance in from the wall create a green edge and extra screening.
- Keep large, deep-rooted trees back from the wall line so roots don't push against footings or posts over time.
- Leave a narrow access path between the planting and the wall for inspection, cleaning and drainage work.
- On fenced sections, climbers or a living hedge along the fence add privacy while keeping air flowing.
If you are developing the whole property, boundary planning fits naturally into farmhouse development, where layout, landscaping and infrastructure are planned together.
Seasonal upkeep
Precast walls need little routine care, but a quick seasonal check keeps small issues from growing:
- Before the monsoon: clear drainage gaps and culverts, and remove debris piled against the wall.
- After the monsoon: look for soil washed away at the base of posts and refill it where needed.
- Through the year: check joints and coping, keep climbers trimmed so they don't trap moisture, and inspect gates and fencing hardware.
What affects the cost?
Rajput Farms does not publish a fixed per-foot rate. Cost depends on wall length, wall height, site condition and transport distance, so share your plot details for an accurate quotation. The site lists boundary wall installation across Kanpur, Unnao, Lucknow, Varanasi, Chandauli, Prayagraj, Ghazipur, Ballia, Gurugram, Delhi NCR, Noida, Greater Noida and Agra. Frequently asked questions
Is a precast wall or wire fencing better for a farmhouse?
Often a mix works well. Precast RCC walls suit road-facing and entrance sides where privacy and security matter, while chain link or barbed wire on RCC poles suits long field edges at a lower cost and keeps views open.
Can fencing be added on top of a precast boundary wall?
Yes. Chain link jali, barbed wire or RCC fencing poles can be added on top of or alongside a boundary wall for extra security.
What does Rajput Farms' boundary wall installation include?
The service covers site measurement, post fixing, transport of precast panels to your site, panel installation between posts, and finishing and handover. Panels and posts are made by Suraksha Construction, the company's precast division.
How do I stop water collecting along my farmhouse wall in the monsoon?
Plan drainage before installation. Identify where water naturally flows and low spots form, then leave weep gaps, culverts or a drain line at those points so the wall does not block runoff.
How much does a farmhouse boundary wall cost?
Cost depends on wall length, wall height, site condition and transport distance. Rajput Farms does not quote a fixed per-foot rate publicly and gives a quotation based on your site details.
